Terms
How The Bismarck Loop works and what we each can expect. Last updated October 21, 2026.
The short version
The Bismarck Loop is a free local guide. Use it kindly, check details before you head out, and tell us if something's wrong. These Terms are the rules that go with that. By creating an account or using the site, you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy.
Who can join
- You must be 13 or older to have an account.
- One account per email address. You're responsible for keeping access to that email, since that's how you sign in.
- Please don't create accounts by automated means, or try to get into anyone else's account.
What the Loop is, and isn't
- We gather events, businesses, clubs, volunteer groups and outdoor spots from public sources and from neighbors. We do our best to keep them right, but dates, hours, prices and locations change. Always check with the business or organizer before you go.
- Listing something is not an endorsement, and most listings are not affiliated with us.
- Outdoor places can change with weather and ownership. Check conditions, follow posted rules, and respect private property. You're responsible for your own safety.
- Maps and directions come from other companies' apps, and we don't control them.
Events and information you send us
- Only send things that are true and that you're free to share. Don't include other people's private details.
- We review what you send. We may edit it, publish it, or decline it, and we may remove it later.
- By sending it, you let us publish and display it on the Loop.
Posts on the Town Wire
- The Wire is for what you liked. Post about a local place or event you enjoyed, in your own words. If something went wrong, tell the business, not the town.
- A post is one short line and, if you like, a photo of your own. No links, nothing about individual people, nothing hateful or misleading, and no photos of people who haven't agreed to be in them.
- Posts are public under the first name and last initial you type. Every post is reviewed before it appears, and we may decline or remove one at any time.
- A post stays on the Wire for a week, and may stay on the business's page after that. You can withdraw your own post any time, and deleting your account removes your posts.
- By posting, you let us show it on the Loop and quote it, with your name as you typed it, in our weekly email.
Using the site
- Don't break the site, overload it, or copy it in bulk.
- Don't use it for spam, scams or anything illegal.
- The Loop's writing, design and artwork belong to us or the people who made them. Sharing links is always welcome.
Your account
You can delete your account any time from My Loop, and you can see and sign out your devices there too. We may pause or remove accounts that break these rules.
No guarantees
The Loop is provided as is. We can't promise it will always be available or error-free, and to the extent the law allows, we aren't responsible for losses from relying on a listing or from using the site.
Changes
If we change these Terms, we'll update the date at the top. If a change matters, we'll tell signed-in members. Using the site after a change means you accept it.
