The local scoop
Laughing Sun Brewing is a taproom on East Front Avenue that pairs its own beer with a BBQ menu. Ribs, brisket, pulled pork and smoked turkey come as sandwiches, platters or by the meat alone, with sides such as mac and cheese, baked beans, slaw and cornbread. There is an expanded patio, and beer is packaged in cans, growlers and crowlers to take home.

Before you head over
Live music runs Friday and Saturday from 8 to 11 pm and is all ages until 9 pm. The brewery's own site shows two different sets of opening hours, so call ahead or check its Facebook page before a late visit. Food can be ordered online through Toast, and catering is available.
